Steelhead Anyone??

Well we did an early drift this morning, had to make it pretty quick so we never worked any particular section of water for too long. We put on the water at 6:00 and hit the take out at 9:00. Our final tally for the morning was one whitefish, one small trout, and no steelhead. Not exactly the HOT opening day action we were hoping for. We talked with a F&W staff who said he'd surveyed 30+ fisherman this morning and there were no steelhead to speak of. He knows their are fish in the system because they've been spotting them lately. The river colored up quick today from Cashmere down, and it's risen 400 cfs in the last 24 hours and is still climbing. If anyone else hit the water and had different results let us know. It would be nice to hear that someone hit steelhead today!
